I’m not good at blogging

I’m just not good at consistently blogging. I’m much better at consistently drawing or doodling. It really doesn’t matter though – I’m just here to have some fun and share my art with people.

Sometimes I just get too busy to think about writing blog posts and other times I just don’t know what to say.  When I run into that with art I just put pen to paper without giving it much thought as to where it’s going to go.  That’s what I’m doing right now with this blog post.  Just getting something down.

Lately I’ve been drawing a lot of patterned backgrounds.  There is something incredibly meditative about the repetition in that kind of drawing.  It’s very soothing and I enjoy it a lot.  Some take longer than others and sometimes I work on two or three different ones at a time.  I just sort of go with the flow where these are concerned.
